As a leader of the Plante Moran Financial Advisors investment research team with a focus on investment strategy and portfolio construction, I collaborate with members of our team to oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring our portfolio strategy. To do so effectively, I constantly analyze current economic, policy, and capital market conditions and trends to ensure that we’re balancing the risks and opportunities that exist in developing our portfolio strategies. I also serve as a member of our Investment Committee.
I apply that technical knowledge and ongoing research to evaluate individual client portfolio construction through the lens of client-specific objectives, the current market environment, and our portfolio strategy to create customized solutions for our clients. Developing a deep understanding of a client’s situation, I help to create and implement a tailored portfolio that aligns with their specific goals and objectives, while also being attentive to minimizing the costs and tax consequences associated with their portfolio. I’m known for my ability to convey technical topics in an approachable manner with clients. Helping clients manage their financial life as a means of achieving their nonfinancial goals is incredibly rewarding.
I received my B.B.A. from Western Michigan University. I’m also a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) and a member of the Investments & Wealth Institute.
Outside of work, much of my time is invested in my family. I have two daughters who love soccer, and many of our weekends are filled with those activities. When I’m not cheering them on in games, I enjoy traveling and being active.
