This year, PMR is celebrating five principal positions, six senior vice presidents, seven vice presidents, and five senior consultants.
Principals
Nicole Blocker, Adam Burgess, Mike Carl, Andy Fountain, and Doug Smith have been promoted to principal.
Based in the Southfield office, Blocker is a relationship manager and project manager with the firm’s public sector team. She brings her more than 22 years of engineering and program management experience to every engagement, helping clients with preconstruction planning and project management. In 2022, Blocker was recognized in Crain Detroit’s list of Notable Women in Construction, Architecture, and Design. In 2023, she was recognized on Michigan Chronicle’s Women in Excellence list. Blocker received her bachelor’s degree from Clark Atlanta University.
A member of the transaction management team located in the Southfield office, Burgess helps a diverse client base across North America turn their real estate into a differentiator and a driver for their businesses. He applies a sophisticated approach to every transaction that factors in nuances for each location option, lease terms, financial implications, market research, and exit strategies. A recognized leader in the real estate market, he is a board member of multiple networking organizations across the country. He received a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University’s Eli Broad College of Business and a master’s degree from the University of Michigan—Dearborn. He is a licensed real estate salesperson in the state of Michigan.
Based in the Southfield office, Carl brings over 16 years of real estate experience, specializing in portfolio management, national site selection, real estate consulting, and transaction management services. He has advised a wide range of clients on their corporate strategy, including some of the largest developments in the state of Michigan. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Michigan—Ann Arbor. He is an Urban Land Institute (ULI) member and a licensed real estate salesperson in the state of Michigan.
With more than 20 years of experience in the construction and real estate market, Fountain leads public sector and corporate clients through planning and implementing large capital programs. Based in the Southfield office, Fountain has worked on a variety of multimillion-dollar capital improvement programs in the role of owner’s representative, helping clients realize cost savings while meeting the needs of their organization. He received his bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University.
Located in the Southfield office, Doug Smith’s more than 30 years’ experience in real estate development, finance, and management provide clients with measurable value from his knowledge of the real estate industry. Having worked for and represented private development interests, the public sector and community stakeholders, he can represent a broad array of clients with diverse real estate objectives. Doug Smith earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan. He is a licensed real estate broker and has a Michigan builder’s license.
Senior Vice Presidents
Ahmed Beasley, John McCarroll, Tony Sorgi, Scott Smith, Tawanesha Jones-Williams, and Ron Zuhorski have been promoted to senior vice president.
With more than 25 years of program management and consulting experience, Beasley provides the public sector team with expertise in planning and construction management, contract negotiation, budget control, monitoring, and project closeout. Based in the Southfield office, he represents some of the largest K-12 clients in the state of Michigan, bringing practical solutions to every engagement. Beasley received his bachelor’s degree from Lawrence Technological University.
Based in the Southfield office, Jones-Williams is a design and construction professional with more than 30 years’ experience in capital planning and oversight. She has worked across various market sectors but specializes in healthcare planning, design, and project management for complex renovations and new construction of various sizes and scope. She holds two bachelor’s degrees and a master’s degree from Lawrence Technological University and a Construction Documents Technologist (CDT) certification from the Construction Specifications Institute.
McCarroll, a project manager serving the acute care sector in the Southfield office, has more than 25 years’ experience managing large healthcare, institutional, and government projects. He is actively involved in large healthcare programs, providing oversight to the construction teams. He is a Certified Professional Constructor, U.S. Green Building Council LEED Accredited Professional (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design; LEED AP), and a licensed builder. McCarroll has bachelor’s and associate degrees from Ferris State University.
Sorgi, based in the Southfield office, is a corporate real estate professional serving the transaction management team. His emphasis on strategic planning, national and regional site selection, financial benchmarking, due diligence, and lease contract negotiations advises company executives and real estate decision-makers in developing an effective approach to address their real estate needs. He is a licensed real estate sales broker in the state of Michigan. He received a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and is involved with various philanthropic organizations throughout Metro Detroit.
Located in the Southfield office, Scott Smith, a member of the program management team, assists clients with value and savings for K-12 and corporate real estate initiatives. In his current role, Scott Smith oversees more than $400 million in K-12 bond programs, using his experience in the industry to make knowledgeable, far-sighted recommendations to guide districts through the planning and construction processes. He received his bachelor’s degree from Michigan Technological University and is a LEED AP.
Zuhorski, a member of the program management team in the Southfield office, advises clients in the development and implementation of their building initiatives and renovation endeavors. His 30 years of experience in architectural design and program management clients with top-quality guidance as they work through projects that support their unique missions and business objectives. Zuhorski received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Detroit Mercy’s School of Architecture. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) and has training from the Project Management Professional (PMP) organization.
Vice Presidents
Jake Dykstra, Collin Frink, Nick Hoffman, Jenae Kuipers, Chris Mankowski, and Maria Mastej have been promoted to vice president, and Tricia Dziegelewski has been promoted to senior manager of the project cost accountants.
Based in the Grand Rapids office, Dykstra oversees projects in multiple markets as an owner’s representative, assisting clients in strategic initiatives, capital planning, and capital project deployment. As a PMP, he advises clients with administration throughout the strategic planning, forecasting and budgeting, design, construction, and activation phases of construction projects. He obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Grand Valley State University.
Based in the Southfield office, Frink is part of PMR’s public sector team. His nine years of construction industry experience provides him with the insight, knowledge, and expertise needed to help clients make the most informed and effective project decisions. He offers his leadership to K-12 clients to help projects run efficiently and effectively while adhering to budget and schedule goals. Frink obtained his bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University.
With more than nine years of program management and real estate consulting experience, Hoffman — who based in the Southfield office — provides clients with practical, strategic solutions that improve efficiencies and effectiveness throughout their capital programs. He specializes in planning and construction oversight, contract negotiation, cost forecasting and analysis, quality control, and owner risk management. He is a graduate of Michigan State University. He is Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Design-Build Professional® (DBIA®) certified.
Serving PMR’s West Michigan clientele out of the Grand Rapids office, Kuipers works on a variety of K-12 capital improvement programs as a program manager and owner’s representative. With 14 years’ experience, she uses her skills and experience to guide clients through their multimillion-dollar capital programs, helping programs run smoothly and progress as planned. Kuipers graduated from Michigan State University with bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
Mankowski serves the program management team out of the Grand Rapids office, bringing over 10 years of construction and development experience to every engagement. He leads clients through facility assessments, contract review and negotiation, budget tracking, schedule coordination, project oversight, and project closeout. Working primarily on K-12 engagements, Mankowski goes above and beyond for each client to deliver a successful project. He is a graduate of Central Michigan University.
Based in the Southfield office, Mastej serves a variety of clients, guiding their projects with real estate market research, highest and best use analysis, financial feasibility analysis, due diligence, transaction management, and strategy development for ground-up and redevelopment projects. She is a graduate of Michigan State University and obtained her Real Estate Investment and Analysis Certification from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.). She is a licensed real estate salesperson in the state of Michigan.
Located in Southfield, Dziegelewski manages PMR’s project cost accountant team, a subgroup within the firm’s project management practice responsible for project financial accounting, cash flows, budgeting, and financial reporting for client projects. Her clients, and the entire project management team within PMR, benefit from her more than 30 years of experience in the accounting and project financial management fields. She has a bachelor’s degree from Walsh College of Business Administration and is certified in Michigan lien law.
Senior Consultants
Sean Abelarde, Sarah Kelly, Charlie Keranen, Max Langenbach, and Jack Morrison have been promoted to senior consultant.
Abelarde, a member of PMR’s transaction management team based out of Southfield, assists clients with aligning their corporate real estate strategy through comprehensive national sight selection, portfolio management, and tenant representation services. He received his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University Kelley School of Business. He is a licensed real estate salesperson in the state of Michigan and serves as a board member for Leaders for Kids, an advisory board to the Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation.
Based in the Chicago Riverside office, Kelly is part of the real estate investment service group. She supports clients through all facets of their real estate needs, with a focus on financial analysis, market research, and transaction management. Kelly serves clients in a variety of sectors, working on projects for industrial manufacturers to religious institutions. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin—Madison.
Based out of Southfield, Keranen works on various projects across the firm’s real estate investment and development service groups, specializing in market research, due diligence, financial analysis, highest and best use analysis, and asset management. He received his bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University’s Broad College of Business. He is a licensed salesperson in the state of Michigan, and a member of the ULI.
Langenbach is a member of PMR’s real estate investment and development service groups based out of Southfield. In his role, he provides clients with financial analysis, pro forma modeling, market research, and asset management services. Langenbach graduated from Michigan State University’s Broad College of Business. He is a licensed real estate salesperson in the state of Michigan and an active member of the ULI and Detroit Economic Club.
Based in the Chicago Riverside office, Morrison assists clients with all aspects of their real estate investments, including portfolio strategy, financial and market analysis, transaction management, and asset management. In his role, Jack produces and summarizes complex property financial reports in a way that allows clients to fully understand their value at a macro and micro level. He is a graduate of the Leeds School of Business at The University of Colorado Boulder.
