A vice president with Plante Moran Realpoint (PMR), formerly Plante Moran Cresa, Jake oversees projects in multiple markets as an owner’s representative, assisting clients in strategic initiatives, capital planning, and capital project deployment. He brings to the team four years of planning, design, and construction experience in addition to several years of business experience.
Jake’s role entails advising administrations throughout the strategic planning, forecasting and budgeting, design, construction, and activation phases of construction projects. Clients appreciate that Jake communicates with them proactively and with the utmost integrity and honesty through this process. He knows this approach is the best way to build lasting relationships with clients on what is usually a huge strategic undertaking, one vital to the long-term success of their organizations.
Prior to joining PMR, Jake lead healthcare capital projects through conception to completion at Enviah, a healthcare consulting group in Grand Rapids, Mich. As the director of owner’s representation, he worked with healthcare executives to identify strategic initiatives, build master plans around them, and oversee the planning, design, construction, and activation of new and renovated environments. His greatest accomplishment is overseeing construction of Mary Free Bed at Covenant’s rehabilitation tower in Saginaw, Mich., which was completed on time and within budget despite COVID-19 disruptions.
Jake, a Project Management Professional (PMP), has a BSA in mechanical engineering and MBA from Grand Valley State University.
