In his role as principal, Mike brings over 16 years of real estate experience to Plante Moran Realpoint, formerly Plante Moran Cresa. With a focus on portfolio management, including tenant representation in the office, industrial, and retail markets, Mike assists clients with national site selection, real estate consulting, and transaction management services.
Mike is known for his strong client advocacy as he helps clients align their real estate to their corporate strategy. He has advised a wide range of clients, including Ilitch Holdings/Olympia Development, Henry Ford Health, The Shyft Group, Barton Malow Company, The Better Health Store, Vibe Credit Union, WadeTrim, Accounting Aid Society, and Lands’ End, amongst others.
Prior to joining Plante Moran Realpoint, Mike was a vice president at Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), where he was responsible for advising a variety of significant corporate clients and assisting on projects involving institutional landlords, including Bank of America, PNC Bank, Ally Financial, Visteon Corporation, SmithGroup JJR, and Physiotherapy Associates.
Mike won Cresa’s President Award in 2021. Mike has also been named a CoStar PowerBroker (2009 and 2011), a JLL “Top Achiever” (2011), and a Cresa Top Producer (2015-2022).
Mike received his bachelor’s degree in sports management and communications as well as a master’s degree in kinesiology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. During his five years as a member of the Michigan Football Team, he was named the team’s 2006 Ben Huff Champion of the year for his demonstration of leadership, focus, and spirit to the squad.
Mike is a licensed real estate salesperson in the state of Michigan. He is an active member of the Detroit Athletic Club, the University of Michigan’s Official Alumni Letterwinners M Club, Football Alumni of Michigan, Oakland University Golf Club, and Kensington Church.
Mike is a graduate of ULI Michigan’s annual Larson Center for Leadership, a curriculum-based program designed to train and mentor the next generation of real estate and land use leaders in Michigan. In the fall of 2018, he was a participant in the Detroit Regional Chamber’s Leadership Detroit Class XL, a group of leaders from Southeast Michigan promoting positive change in the community.
