I oversee financial statement audits and assist with compliance matters for my clients in the K-12 and service industries, including retail, technology companies, and B2B service provider clients. My expertise includes helping clients with business combinations, share-based payments (options, warrants, and incentive units), and complex debt arrangements.
My clients appreciate that I have a broad skill set to help them with general business issues and have industry-specific experience that’s critical to understanding their unique challenges.
I speak regularly on accounting and auditing topics that impact the K-12 industry for the Michigan School Business Officials (MSBO) organization. One of my greatest professional accomplishments is becoming our firm’s industry technical leader for the K-12 education practice.
I received a B.S. in accountancy from Oakland University. I belong to the MSBO, the AICPA, and the Michigan Association of CPAs.
I enjoy the outdoors. I recently took up mountain biking, which is a blast. I also like to ski, jog, and spend time up north at my parent’s house in Boyne City, MI. I spend my free time with my wife and our two girls, Juliet and Scarlet.
