I also previously led the firm’s metal practice. In that role, I worked closely with the Precision Metalforming Association, authoring the annual benchmarking report for the metalforming industry. I have deep industry expertise in the metals industry from the time I spent in this area.
My technical expertise is in accounting and auditing, financial reporting, new accounting standards implementation, employee benefit plans, mergers and acquisitions, and internal controls. I’m a member of the firm’s SEC practice unit, leading PCAOB engagements for over 10 years.
My benefit plan audit and accounting expertise is very broad and includes defined benefit plans (both governmental and ERISA plans), defined contribution plans, health and welfare plans, 11-Ks, and Taft Hartley plans. I also have significant experience auditing alternative investments and dealing with matters that have received the attention of the DOL and the IRS.
I get the most satisfaction fostering proactive client service and building long-term relationships that provide significant value to my clients. My clients like the fact that I meet with them throughout the year so that I’m current on all their business issues. The more I know about my clients, the better I’m able to serve them.
I’m a member of the AICPA and the Ohio CPA Society. I’m also a board member and the co-chair of the finance committee for Saint Joseph Academy, a private high school in Cleveland.
