As the assurance technical leader for the firm’s service industries, I collaborate with business owners and leaders to ensure accounting and assurance matters are addressed appropriately and timely. In addition, I help them implement and understand new accounting pronouncements, including revenue and leasing standards. My clients span a wide range of service industry organizations, including technology and retail companies, restaurants, franchisors and multiunit franchisees, and transportation and logistics companies, many of whom are private equity-owned.When it comes to breaking down complexities and working through technicalities, colleagues and clients count on my more than 15 years of experience. I’m known for offering practical advice, helping clients meet technical accounting requirements, and providing guidance to young staff.
I’m often asked to speak to clients about technical topics, including new accounting standards. I’ve presented in webinars, including a presentation through the Association for Corporate Growth, on the impact of the new revenue recognition standards on private equity. I belong to the AICPA and the Illinois CPA Society where I’m a member of the accounting principles committee. I received my B.B.A. and my M.S. in accountancy from Michigan State University.
As a mother to a toddler, I don’t have much time for personal hobbies. I spend my free time with my family, enjoying our neighborhood and reading lots of stories.
