I take complex accounting issues and make it easier for my clients to understand them. When they have a better grasp of how these processes work, we partner together and plan to help grow their business and meet a variety of goals. Most of my clients are middle-market private equity-owned or publicly traded technology and retail car dealerships.
I love the people and relationship side of public accounting. I love reading financial statements and complex/legal agreements, getting to know new people, and helping clients understand complex accounting problems. One of my greatest accomplishments has been my involvement in our coaching programs. The feeling when a discussion topic finally “clicks” is indescribable.
I belong to the AICPA and the Colorado Society of CPAs. I currently sit on the Colorado Court Appointed Special Advocates (Colorado CASA) as its treasurer. My passion for this organization grew from my experience adopting my two sons through the foster-to-adopt process and seeing firsthand the impact CASA volunteers had on my boys. I received my B.B.A. in accountancy from Western Illinois University.
I love spending time with my wife and sons. We adopted them in May 2018, and they’re biological brothers. It’s been a trip going from 0 to 60 as a father and learning how to balance work-life and home-life. I also love golfing — we joke that it’s my second “wife.”
