I work with post-acute healthcare organizations to remain ahead of the quickly changing healthcare reimbursement landscape. From skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), ICF/IIDs, hospital-based SNFS, continuing care retirement communities, and home health and hospice providers, I specialize in helping organizations improve and streamline their revenue cycle processes.
I’ve worked in the healthcare industry in different capacities for 25 years. It’s a complex and ever-changing environment. It’s exciting to partner with clients on creative solutions that position their organizations for success in this field. What I love about this job is that it allows me, as a CPA, to indirectly help people by helping the organizations that provide healthcare services.
Besides keeping the candy jar stocked, my colleagues appreciate my experience. They also know they can count on me to go the extra mile for them and all of our clients.
I often present at conferences on current post-acute reimbursement changes and strategic positioning concepts. I recently worked with the state of Ohio’s department of developmental disabilities and the related provider associations on developing a new reimbursement model for the Ohio ICF system.
I belong to the AICPA, and I’m an advisory board member for Welcome House, an organization dedicated to helping individuals with developmental disabilities live full and rewarding lives. I received my B.A. in accounting from the University of Akron.
Outside of work, I enjoy running with my son and spending time outdoors. Our family also volunteers for organizations that specialize in services for individuals with developmental disabilities.
