For most of my career, I was an auditor specializing in our healthcare and not-for-profit industries. I quickly developed a passion for helping others succeed and enjoyed the opportunity to have a positive impact on staff development. I was promoted to partner in 1998 and, shortly thereafter, became an impact leader in our Southfield office. This role allowed me to work with a variety of partners and staff, helping them reach their career goals.
In 2004, I became the industry group leader of our healthcare practice. Six months into that role, I was approached to lead human resources, and I jumped at the opportunity. My experience leading HR helped me develop a unique style of cultivating staff relationships and leadership strategies, which I call a “people first” approach. Over the past several years, I’ve worked with our partners and the HR staff to nurture the attraction, retention, development, and promotion of our talent. I think one of my greatest accomplishments has been developing our exceptional team of HR professionals now serving Plante Moran.
Since graduating from the University of Michigan – Dearborn in 1985, I’ve stayed involved with the campus and have served on the Dean’s Advisory Board of the Business School for the last 10 years. I’m an avid reader, love outdoor activities, and enjoy spending time with friends and family.
