I am the firm leader of Plante Moran’s Public Sector Services Group, which includes a team of over 450 staff and partners dedicated to serving government, higher education and K-12 organizations throughout the country. I have a passion for helping our public sector clients navigate their unique environment by collaborating with our experts throughout the firm to ensure we are trusted advisors.
In addition to leading the public sector practice, I have 23 years of experience specializing in serving governmental organizations, assisting with strategic planning initiatives, understanding the impact of new funding and related compliance requirements, long term forecasts and rate studies, and succession planning. Helping my clients with their needs throughout the year lets me feel like I’m part of their mission, and I’m providing value to their organization.
The diversity of public accounting is what attracted me to this career. I’m always doing something different each day. Whether it’s working with clients to resolve issues, or developing our staff to become better client servers while balancing their personal and professional lives. I have four children and my career path was tailored to ensure I was able to make a meaningful contribution to the firm, while having the flexibility to support them. It is very rewarding to participate in our Women in Leadership activities and help team members throughout the firm create a path that works for them.
I graduated from Wayne State University and am a board member for the MICPA. I also serve on the Michigan Government Finance Officers Association (MGFOA) — Legislative Committee, Metro Affairs Coalition of SEMOG and am a member of the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) .
I hold a valid CPA license issued by the State of Michigan, and am up-to-date on all required continuing professional education.
Outside of work, I love traveling with friends and family and working with local charitable organizations. I also enjoy reading mystery novels.
