In 2009, I successfully donated half of my liver to my Mom who was nearly losing a battle with a rare liver disease. Since then, she has danced at my wedding and been able to spend time with her grandchildren.
”Experience
As an audit partner for financial institutions, mortgage, and consumer finance companies, I serve both public and private institutions, performing financial statement audits and a host of risk management services including internal control audits and loan reviews. For the last 21 years, my industry specialization has consisted of financial institution clients from de-novos to well-established SEC filers. These services consisted of the traditional financial statement opinions in the winter with spring, summer, and fall months focused on risk management and advisory services.
I speak regularly for several different associations on topics such as new accounting standards, regulatory changes, and industry developments. Additionally, I author various thought leadership pieces for our clients and their boards. I received my B.S. in accounting from Michigan State University.
In my free time, I enjoy being with my wife, two children, as well as other family members and friends. In addition to that, I love getting outside. I find opportunities to get to the Rocky Mountains for skiing and hiking, and I enjoy the humbling game of golf.
