I provide a variety of accounting and auditing services to clients in the housing and community development and real estate industries. I assist both for-profit and not-for-profit development entities and government housing authorities. My clients appreciate my extensive knowledge of real estate, community development, various real estate funds, and tax incentives, as well as my experience with multiple governmental agencies, including the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). I have a reputation for working closely with my clients to help them achieve their goals in an effective manner.
Because I’m passionate about community development, it’s been gratifying to be a part of the growth of Plante Moran’s Housing and Community Development (HCD) group. As our client base expands, so do opportunities for staff development. Colleagues know me as someone who’s invested in their professional enrichment — therefore, I’m always seeking assignments that challenge upcoming team members. I’m also a member of the firm’s professional standards team, which provides staff and clients with guidance and information on new and proposed financial statement reporting standards.
I’ve been asked to speak at housing conferences about topics ranging from tax incentive issues like the opportunity zone program to various housing and urban development areas. I have a bachelors degree in business administration with a major in accounting from Wayne State University. I belong to the AICPA and the Michigan Association of CPAs.
My family knows how much I love Michigan summers. I love spending time with my kids outside and enjoying the sun whenever I can.
