I took ballet lessons for 13 years and danced on pointe shoes for seven years. Now, I enjoy watching my daughters play dress-up in my old costumes and prepare for their own recitals.

Experience

As the firmwide technical leader of the employee benefit plan audit practice, I advise staff and clients on the application of accounting and auditing standards that impact employee benefit plan audits. I focus on staying current on new and proposed professional standards that impact this practice.

With more than 20 years of experience, my expertise includes lease accounting, consolidation analysis, and CECL for nonfinancial institutions. Previously, I was an industry technical specialist for the not-for-profit and real estate industries where I collaborated with audit teams on complex technical questions and financial reporting issues.

I'm a board member and past treasurer of Stepping Stones Children's Center, a not-for-profit that provides childcare for infants through elementary school age children. I'm also treasurer for the Eden Hall Upper Elementary PTO.

I attended Western Michigan University and earned a B.B.A. and M.S.A. in accounting.

While I love to play golf, in this era of life, I’m usually chauffeuring kids to dance, gymnastics, singing, or band lessons and attending their performances. When we find some downtime, my cupboards are always stocked for s’mores around a backyard campfire.
