As a manager in our National Tax Office, I focus on emerging and policy issues and consult on complex federal tax issues, especially as they relate to plane and yacht ownership and energy tax credits. I also draw on my tax, appellate, and trial litigation experience to manage tax controversy matters.
I support the firm’s awareness of impactful issues as they develop in Washington. I make technical concepts practically valuable to clients. Each client’s needs are unique, and one of my favorite things about Plante Moran is how the firm’s culture and “one-firm firm” approach make it easy to best serve those unique needs.
I have a J.D. and a Tax LL.M. from Northwestern University and a B.A. from Augustana College. I serve as a Vice Chair of the American Bar Association’s Tax Policy and Simplification Committee.
