I specialize in assisting individuals with their estate planning needs. I primarily work with clients who want to name a professional trustee to carry out the terms of their estate planning documents, usually their will and trust.
Working as a trustee enables me to use my financial services and my legal background. I’m glad clients have remarked that they appreciate my easy-going nature. It’s helpful when navigating the nuanced family dynamics that come into play in many of the trusts and estates we work on.
While I’ve been with Plante Moran Trust, N.A. some of my greatest accomplishments have been developing relationships with new clients to the firm as well as introducing them to other firm services from which they've been able to benefit.
I’m a member of the State Bar of Illinois, the Institute of Certified Bankers, the Financial and Estate Planning Council of Metro Detroit, and the Michigan Bankers Association's Trust Counsel Committee. I received my B.S.B.A. in international business and economics from Ohio Northern University and my J.D. from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago.
My wife and I have three young children; therefore, most of my family time is spent coaching their various sports teams like soccer and basketball. When I have actual free time, I enjoy playing basketball, playing golf, and reading.
