As a member of the firm’s wealth management tax practice, I specialize in helping family offices and other ultra-high-net-worth clients maximize the after-tax value of their balance sheets so that they can better achieve their financial goals.
My practice focuses on income, estate, and gift tax planning, along with taxation of complex investment structures. I’m also an expert in the net investment income tax.
Collaboration is extremely important to me, as I believe it allows you to obtain better outcomes and minimizes resources required to arrive at those outcomes. I value working effectively with clients, colleagues and other external advisors. My clients appreciate that I take a practical approach to helping them achieve their tax and wealth management goals.
I also work to promote our firm’s profile in the community. For me, that often means sharing my technical expertise. I’ve been quoted in Barron’s, The Wall Street Journal, Newsday, USA Today and CNBC, written articles for external publication, and I’ve appeared in external speaking engagements and podcasts about a wide range of tax planning topics. I’m a member of the AICPA and Michigan Association of CPAs, and I have a B.B.A. in accounting from Northwood University and an M.S. in taxation from Walsh College.
When I’m away from the office, I can usually be found spending time with my wife and two daughters, running, or enjoying the company of friends.
