I aim to help businesses improve, typically in the manufacturing and distribution, healthcare, online retail, and service industries, in a variety of ways, including sourcing and managing post-acquisition finance and accounting integration; complex financial reporting; technical accounting guidance; and finance and accounting department transformation projects.
With the majority of my client base in private equity groups and public companies, I also serve as a primary contact for our firm’s IPO readiness and public company accounting and finance services.
My specialties include post-acquisition/purchase accounting services; technical accounting and financial support; opening balance sheet compilations; net working capital and purchase price adjustment reviews; financial statement reporting and consolidation; and public company accounting support services.
I was attracted to this career because I’m excited about the growth and improvement of businesses, meeting new people through project work, and working as part of a team. With nearly 15 years’ experience, my greatest accomplishments include having an instrumental role in establishing our post-acquisition accounting and finance integration practice; co-creating the Emerging Leaders program for Financial Executives International; and being accepted into this wonderful firm.
Recently, I moderated a panel of private equity group professionals for the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) on post-close considerations for smooth integrations, and I recorded a podcast for the LumiQ platform on the topic of ASC 718, Stock Compensation.
I belong to the ACG and Financial Executives International (FEI), where I’m currently on the Programs Committee. I earned my B.A. in accounting from Mount Union College, now the University of Mount Union.
Outside of the office, I’m an action sports and auto sports enthusiast. I love working on my project car, riding my motorcycle, scuba diving, and hiking. I play in an American Poolplayers Association amateur competitive pool league and spend as much time as I can with my wife, Lisa, and our daughter, Mara.
