As a leader within the acute care reimbursement practice, I oversee Medicare and Medicaid cost report preparation services, reimbursement consulting services, medical education reimbursement optimization services, Ohio HCAP agreed-upon procedures, and third-party settlement analysis for our assurance clients.
Most of my clients are in the healthcare, acute care, and hospital and health system industries. Clients appreciate that I’m responsive to their needs and continuously look for opportunities to optimize reimbursement from the Medicare and Medicaid programs. At the office, I’m known for my team-based approach to serving clients and my love of coffee.
I have more than 15 years of experience serving healthcare organizations and was attracted to this career for the opportunity to bring value and impact to my healthcare clients’ bottom line. I’m extremely proud of the growth of our acute reimbursement team, which continues to expand in the ways we help hospital health systems.
I belong to the AICPA and Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA). I’m often asked to speak to clients and lead firm webinars and industry conferences like the Ohio Hospital Association and Health Financial Management Association. I’ve covered a variety of topics, including federal payment ruling updates, Medicare medical education regulatory updates, uncompensated care reporting, and key drivers of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement.
I earned my B.B.A. with specializations in accounting and finance from Bowling Green University.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy traveling, running, and training for half marathons. I spend most of my free time with my husband and three kids, usually at my children’s sporting events.
