I provide tax compliance and planning services to a wide range of middle-market, privately held, and private equity-owned organizations. My clients are primarily in the business service industry and include various software developers and tech-enabled professional service providers that have significant multistate and international operations. I help clients tackle technical issues to manage risks and identify potential tax-savings opportunities.
I was attracted to a career in tax because I have an appreciation for the problem-solving skills required to handle technical issues. From a young age, I always thought I would become a high school math teacher. While I ultimately decided to pursue a degree in accounting and have found my home in tax, I have opportunities to train and develop my team members on a daily basis, which helps fulfill my love for teaching.
My clients appreciate the personal interest I take in getting to know their businesses. I make it a point to touch base regularly throughout the year to establish a close relationship and assist with technical issues as they arise. With nearly 20 years of professional experience, I’m a member of the AIPCA, Michigan Association of CPAs, and Michigan Women's Tax Association. I received both my B.B.A. and M.S. in accountancy from Eastern Michigan University.
Around the office, I have become known as an unofficial art collector as my daughters love to draw and color pictures for me. I’ve acquired quite a collection of “exhibits” to display on my office wall for colleagues to enjoy. When I’m not helping clients, I enjoy spending time with my husband and four kids, cheering at softball games, chauffeuring to dance classes, or watching (and quoting) movies.
