I was born on the Fourth of July. As a child, I thought all the fireworks were for me, and my parents let me believe it.

Experience

I specialize in providing tax compliance and holistic tax planning solutions to ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families. I also serve clients in our service and real estate industries at various phases, whether they’re starting their entrepreneurial and/or financial journey; in the process of accumulating and building their wealth; planning for a liquidity event (including stock option evaluation); or in the retirement phase of life.

Clients appreciate that I’m responsive, helpful, and proactive with new ideas and can be relied upon as a trusted advisor. Colleagues know me for my calm demeanor and sense of humor; I’m also known as a mentor and staff developer.

My father is a CPA and financial advisor. I always admired the trust and advice that he shared with family and friends, as well as the opportunity to make an impact on someone’s financial wellness. I have more than 10 years’ experience in public accounting; my greatest accomplishments include helping staff succeed and progress in their careers and being a trusted advisor to my clients.

I belong to the MICPA, the AICPA, and WEPC (Washtenaw Estate Planning Council). I earned a B.A. and M.S. in accounting from Michigan State University’s Broad School of Business.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and four children, sports, the outdoors, hunting and fishing. I run a small hobby farm with chickens and goats on the land my father grew up on.
