Plante Moran’s managing partner-elect, Jason Drake, was recently interviewed by The Western Golf Association’s Evans Scholars Magazine and shared thoughts on his career, caddying, and giving back.
Jason, a past Evans Scholarship recipient, described how he began caddying when he was 10 years old. From then on, he spent each summer at the golf course, learning valuable life and career lessons. He explained that caddying is all about client service — just like public accounting. And since he was kid, he’s been “thinking about clients and how I can add value.”
For Jason, becoming the next managing partner is a full circle moment.
“I’m here today because of the people who were willing to invest in me; I want to continue to invest in others,” said Jason. “My experience as a caddie and an Evans Scholar set me on this path and led me to where I am today.”
