Plante Moran staff earn CFE designations

Southfield, Mich. – Three Plante Moran staff members have received their Certified Franchise Executive, or CFE, designations.

The three team members are Mark Fleischer, CPA and audit partner from the Auburn Hills office; Kevin Lang, CPA, MST, and tax partner also from the Auburn Hills office and Lisa Manetta, CPA and senior manager from the Macomb office.

“This designation represents our team members’ commitment to advising franchising executives on best financial practices for their businesses,” said Chris Jones, Plante Moran’s service industry group leader. “It certifies that they’ve achieved the highest standards of quality training and education available to help our clients optimize their franchises.”

With 21 years of industry experience, Fleischer leads Plante Moran’s franchise practice. With a focus on franchises, multi-unit organizations and private equity, he advises clients on financial best practices, beneficial organizational structuring and franchise market trends. Fleischer holds a bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University.

Lang brings 27 years of experience to his role as co-leader of Plante Moran’s franchise practice. He counsels clients on financial best practices, including cost control amid changes to federal tax regulations. Lang holds an undergraduate degree from Hope College and a master’s degree from Walsh College.

Manetta is group leader for the firm’s consumer goods and services practice and is a member of its service industry and franchise leadership teams. With 16 years of assurance experience in the hospitality, restaurant and professional service industries, she counsels clients on tax opportunities and internal controls. She has a bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University.

Fleischer, Lang and Manetta will be honored on Feb. 23 at the International Franchise Association Annual Conference in San Antonio, TX.
