Working primarily with middle-market privately owned businesses, I specialize in the valuation of closely held equity securities, partnership interests, and intangible assets, such as technology, intellectual property, trade names, customer relationships, and noncompetition agreements.

I recently spoke at a panel event held by the Business Valuation Association of Chicago — where I’m a director and former president — discussing best practices related to the latest regulatory changes to valuation for fair value measures in financial reporting. I have a B.S. in electrical engineering from Northwestern University and an M.B.A. in finance from the University of Iowa.
I spend my free time with my wife and kids. I also enjoy playing fantasy football where, unfortunately, I lose more than I win.
