As the firm’s leader of the government airport and transport practice, I work with governmental entities ranging from communities with a population of more than 200,000 to some municipalities that only have 3,000 people. My clients appreciate my strong passion for government and their mission, and that I truly care about helping them succeed.
I was attracted to this career because of the variety. I’m rarely at the same place two days in a row. I get to spend my time talking to and advising clients and teaching staff, which I love. One of my greatest accomplishments with Plante Moran has been mentoring young staff and seeing them grow in their careers to become strong leaders of the firm.
I'm often asked to speak at industry conferences, such as at the Michigan Government Finance Officers Association (MGFOA), about topics of interest to those in municipal finance, including budgeting, forecasting, implementing accounting standards, and industry best practices.
I belong to the AICPA, the MICPA (I’m chair of the automotive dealer task force), the MGFOA (I participate on the professional development committee), the Airports Council International–North America, the Association of Airport Internal Auditors, and the Michigan Municipal Treasurers Association. I received my B.S. in business administration from Wayne State University.
I enjoy spending time with my family and being outdoors, especially if I can combine the two. I love mountain biking, CrossFit, and going places where I can put my feet in the sand and water.
