My husband does animal rehab and once got a baby squirrel that had to be fed frequently. We brought it on vacation, often returning to our hotel room to care for it. At night, we’d watch it play in its cage — better than TV!

Experience

As the leader of our environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practice, I help organizations align their nonfinancial disclosures to their strategic goals. My clients look to me to help them identify the needs of their stakeholders, conduct materiality assessments, and reduce organizational and investor risk through actionable, measurable, continuous improvements.

Living a responsible, sustainable life continues to be important to me. I became interested in this approach while completing my M.B.A. and then I continued my studies in it during a semester abroad in Copenhagen. I liked the idea that companies can “do well by doing good.”

This carries through to my personal life, too; I try to minimize my environmental impacts by eating sustainably and encouraging my colleagues to recycle and compost.

I have an inquisitive nature and like to ask a lot of questions. I’m not afraid to get right to the point, but I try to do so in a nonconfrontational manner. I have more than 15 years of experience and am a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and the AICPA ASB Sustainability Task Force. I’m a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and an Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting (FSA) credential holder.

I received my B.S. in computer science from the University of Michigan and my M.B.A. in international business from Brandeis University, where I focused on corporate social responsibility. I obtained a minor in corporate environmental governance from Copenhagen Business School.

Gardening, traveling, learning about other cultures, and spending time outdoors are some of my favorite hobbies. I spend most of my time with my husband, daughter, and our dog or with my book club.
