As part of our National Tax Office, I focus on various emerging tax issues including tax policy, legislation, and other new guidance and laws. Clients across many different industries consult with me for advice on tax developments and tax planning strategies and opportunities. I specialize in technical consulting related to energy tax credits and incentives passed through the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022.
Additionally, I assist clients through tax controversies by addressing issues raised in IRS audits and appeals. I also explore complex structures and tax issues associated with mergers and acquisitions.
I frequently speak at business and tax events, discussing tax considerations in the emerging tax, accounting methods, and M&A areas. I’ve authored articles for publications like the Michigan Bar Journal.
I’m a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the American Bar Association. I received my B.B.A. in business administration and management from Eastern Michigan University and my J.D. from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School.
When I’m not working, I love spending time with my wife and daughters. Some of my best moments are spent out on the lake during the Michigan summertime with family and friends.
