On March 27, Mount Nittany Health held its official topping off ceremony for a new outpatient center. This milestone marks the completion of the building’s steel structure.
The outpatient center consolidates many of the outpatient practices into a single, modularly planned office building at the new Toftrees Development. It is one of the main projects of Mount Nittany Health’s $520 million master facilities plan, which encompasses a total of 13 projects as the system expands its main campus and upgrades its ambulatory program throughout State College, Penn.
As owner’s representatives for Mount Nittany Health, our staff would like to congratulate the hospital system for reaching this significant milestone in the construction process.
Mount Nittany expansion details
The outpatient center is only one part of the hospital’s master facilities plan. The capital program encompasses the following projects:

- Setting new hospital standards for branding and imaging through signage and an interior refresh of the hospital and off-site facilities
The comprehensive health facility is another step Mount Nittany Health is taking to meet the health needs of the Central Pennsylvania community. Mount Nittany Health currently comprises 17 locations and more than 170 specialized providers who serve more than 100,000 members of the community.
