As a project cost accountant with Plante Moran Realpoint (PMR), formerly Plante Moran Cresa, Valerie supports healthcare and public sector clients with processing and reconciling budgets, costs, and commitments for their capital programs. By providing accurate and timely financial data, clients have an aerial view of their projects’ health throughout the construction process.
Valerie is always focused on helping clients make the best financial decisions for the greater good of the program. Her financial knowledge and literacy allow her to be a guide for her clients, supporting their goals and needs throughout a construction process that can take years from start to finish. She finds working in the construction field rewarding, especially when she is part of a team that helps clients overcome challenges.
Valerie joins PMR from Infinity Homes, a privately held home development company in Novi, Mich., where she served as a staff accountant responsible for accounts payable and managed various monthly and annual accounting functions. Prior to Infinity Homes, Valerie was a project cost accountant for Stark Enterprises, LLC, a construction management company in Livonia, Mich. While at Stark Enterprises, Valerie worked closely with construction managers to ensure proper financial exchanges were taking place.
Valerie obtained her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Eastern Michigan University.
