In his role as principal, Joe brings over 20 years of principal investment and asset management experience to Plante Moran Realpoint (PMR), formerly Plante Moran REIA. He specializes in real estate acquisitions, dispositions, development, asset management, and financing.
Known for his analytical and data-driven approach, Joe possesses a proven record of success in real estate investing throughout the United States and Canada. Joe provides clients with expert guidance regarding property valuation, risk analysis, capital allocation strategy, asset value maximization, hold/sell analysis, and leasing decisions to get the best return for their investments. He has served clients from nearly every real estate asset class, with a particular focus on the industrial, retail, and healthcare industries. He has delivered strong performance throughout various economic and industry conditions.
Joe’s previous experience includes leadership positions with Ventas Inc., Kimco Realty Corporation, and First Industrial Realty Trust. At Ventas, Joe asset managed a portfolio of senior housing facilities, while completing a number of acquisition and facility repositioning projects. At Kimco, Joe co-managed the liquidation of their structured investments. Joe lead the financial analysis and due diligence practice for the development practice at First Industrial Realty Trust.
Joe is a graduate of Dartmouth College, where he earned a BA in economics with a concentration in finance, mathematics, and physics. He is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Illinois, Indiana, Colorado and fluent in Spanish.
