A warm congratulation to our owner’s representation client Clark Retirement Community for completing construction on its Franklin campus.
The nonprofit life plan community has served the greater Grand Rapids, Michigan, area since its founding in 1906. As part of an $8.7 million repositioning to meet market needs, improve profitability, and further diversify its existing portfolio, Clark reduced its skilled nursing offerings, constructed 22 new independent living apartments, and adding more amenities that support active lifestyles, socialization, wellness programs, and community events.
As the owner’s representative on the project, our senior living development team provided development advisory services that included managing the request for proposal and bidding process for the project team, determining the appropriate phasing to minimize disruption to staff and residents, overseeing design and construction, and mitigating risk throughout the entire process. The project, which kicked off in the spring of 2018, was completed on time and on budget.
