Wisconsin-based Oshkosh Corporation’s Defense Division is an industry-leading global designer and manufacturer of military trucks and armored wheeled vehicles. Oshkosh Defense needed to expand its technical support and systems engineering capability for medium and heavy truck fleets to fulfill a U.S. Army contract.
The solution
Oshkosh Defense engaged Plante Moran Realpoint (PMR), formerly Plante Moran Cresa, for national site selection, tenant representation, and identification of available incentives. After an efficient, extremely focused investigation, PMR delivered to Oshkosh Defense a comprehensive collection of options. Oshkosh Defense chose to lease a 46,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art technical center in Warren, Michigan.
The benefit
PMR helped Oshkosh Defense procure a MEGA Jobs Tax Credit worth $6.4 million and spanning 12 years on its new location. Additionally, PMR assisted Oshkosh Defense with comprehensive tenant improvements throughout the new facility, including managing the design and construction of a 14,000-square-foot addition.
